The three protagonists play, eat and argue together. In this, at least, they are no different from other boys their age. But they are different in one crucial way, because nine-year-old Daniel and Habtom and Yohannes, both aged 12, live on the street, sleeping in an abandoned car on the side of the road. Without money or any form of adult support, they struggle to survive in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. And there are around 270,000 other street kids like them. The film records the three boys’ daily lives without being overly sentimental.

In Ethiopia, Frank Michalka has found a new home and left his criminal past behind. But happiness does not last long and the former offender must go back to Germany. Once there, he immediately falls back into old patterns and robbed a bank.

Tokola is a closed friend of Yohannes Feleke and Miguel Llanso, so that's why the filmmakers reflected on the value of a dog and the great amount of street dogs in Addis Ababa, trying to survive among the people. How are these dogs related to the inhabitants of the city? People love or hate them? Could be established a parallelism between the life of the dogs and the life of the people? Finally this reflection would consider the general perception of Ethiopia from the West and would play experimentally with the western prejudices to display an ironic film with certain doses of black humor. Thus Yohannes Feleke and Miguel Llanso went to the streets of Addis Ababa.
