A young boy enters the Shaolin Temple and undergoes rigorous training in traditional martial arts. The film focuses on discipline, endurance, and classical Shaolin forms as the child monk learns the fundamentals of kung fu. This is a 1972 Taiwanese production by Hwa Shing Film Co. and is not related to the similarly titled 1984 Hong Kong film.
