Detlic is a creative, sharp and upstanding citizen, percussionist in the Opera. Pressed by financial difficulties, which affect his marriage, he is devising an absurd plan how to survive the economic crisis in contemporary Serbia.

60 year old woman leaves urban life and goes to live in a village to take care of her grandchildren whose parents now live in America. There she faces lots of financial hardships as the family doesn't send any money, and tries her best to provide all for their happier childhood.

Eliciting images of cancer, this drama explores the illnesses that plague modern Croatia. Four young junkies in Zagreb maturing in the wake of war reflect the petty hatreds, violence, prejudices and mood hanging over the country like a disease that spreads with no cure in sight.

When seven-year-old Julia's parents go out and leave her at home alone, she opens the door to a suspicious stranger. Six months later, the consequences of this launch Julia and her friends on a breakneck quest to save her family. In the course of this she becomes aware of how the world works and the place she and her family occupy in it.
