Two young orphans, Buddy and Lucille Roberts, living in an old dark mansion atop a mountain are assailed regularly by ghostly apparitions and mysterious death threats. They enlist the aid of a famous Hollywood Western movie star named Tom Tyler (with Tyler actually playing himself in the film) to investigate the situation and help them discover who is menacing them.

The Driscolls learn that the Brown family's homestead has valuable marble deposits under it, and they scheme to acquire the property. They and the Browns all learn that the land title was never filed with the county registration office, and it becomes a break-neck race between them and their henchmen, and the Browns' friend Tom O'Brien to get to the land-office first.

Following the "no good deed goes unpunished" idiom, when after rescuing a group of settlers, hero Don Miguel Arguella is double-crossed by the group leader who files a claim on his land and makes a move towards his girlfriend. Sadly, this is a lost film.

Jack Pemberton, a cub reporter falls in love with Betty (Mary Mayberry), the governor's daughter. During an investigation into racketeering, Jack learns that gangster Velvet is attempting to kidnap Betty in order to force her father to pardon a relative on death row.

Duke Carlton, an actor stranded in a small western town, gets a job as a cowboy on Tim O'Brien's ranch as a reward for beating up "Flash" Corbin, a real estate agent who has been trying to swindle the rancher. A romance develops between the actor and Patsy O'Brien, the rancher's daughter, but it is interrupted by the appearance of his former stage partner, Vera Van Swank, who claims him as her husband. He clears himself of the bigamy charge, foils a plot to cheat the rancher out of a $90,000 land property, and wins the daughter's hand.

A police officer is kicked off the force when his superior wrongly believes that he is complicit in a robbery committed by a gang his brother is involved with. With the assistance of a crime reporter, he sets out to round up the gang of thieves and clear his name.

Rolly Sigsby, a society clubman bitterly weary of life, wanders into the middle of a gunfight between the organized gangs on the lower East side in the hope that he will be killed by a stray bullet.

A drama of dog vengeance packed with thrills.

Chorus girl Teena Johnson may be "hard-boiled," but she's no golddigger. Thus, when the father of her wealthy sweetheart Kyle Stannard tries to buy her off, Sally refuses the money. She sticks by Kyle even after he is disinherited and forced to go to work. The financial strain on the young couple's marriage eventually takes its toll, and before long they separate, with Sally returning to the chorus line to square her husband's debts.

Migual Garcia, a somewhat arrogant Spaniard, alienates pretty much all of the residents of the Flying U Ranch except the owner's young son, Chip Bennett. Dunk Whitaker, who owns a neighboring ranch, has secretly been rustling Flying U cattle and steals a contract guaranteeing the Flying U's rights to a particular waterhole. Not only that, he decides that he wants Bennett's pretty niece, Sally, for himself. Just when things look their darkest, it turns out that Miguel is not quite what he seems to be.
