The Wolf Hunters is a 1926 American silent Western film, also classified as a Northern, directed by Stuart Paton and starring Robert McKim, Virginia Brown Faire and Mildred Harris.[1] It is based on the 1908 novel The Wolf Hunters by James Oliver Curwood.

Jack Stokes is Sheriff Lamar's right-hand man. Mrs. Lamar receives a threatening letter from a gambler. He threatens to expose her past life if she does not convince the sheriff to let him gamble freely. Jack overhears the conversation. In the ensuing fight, the gambler is accidentally killed. His gang tries to lynch Jack.

A heroic lawman rescues Midge Blair from a runaway stage. Returning to town, Jerry is assigned to safeguard a valuable shipment of platinum.

Joyce escapes in fright and meets Martin Antrim, who protects her in exchange for an introduction to her circle of friends.

"Hurricane" Smith (Francis Ford), head of a steamship company, plots to keep the railroad from entering the city. The map of the proposed route becomes the instrument by which Blake (Frank Baker) and Florence (Florence Gilbert) become targets of Smith's gang. Smith, however, didn't account for Pinto Pete (Ashton Dearholt), he of the spotted hand-- A wanted, whip-wielding rogue who comes to Florence's rescue.

A dying prospector tells "Peters the Pacific" about a mine he has discovered for "the mate's girl" and the ambush he has been set upon by mine jumpers, and gives Peters the location of the mine. In town, Peters uncovers the corrupt dealings of a dance hall owner, Jim Blalock, and Peter Hunter.

The story revolves around a young woman named Lenore Vance (Mabel Forrest), who loses her memory after witnessing the death of her father Silas Gregg (William H Turner). She commits a series of robberies due to being brainwashed by her elderly, reclusive, chemist uncle, Fargo (Marc Mac Dermott). She later becomes the person of interest in the murder, being labelled by the authorities as "The Satin Girl". Dr. Richard Taunton (Norman Kerry) and becomes infatuated with her. After discovering that Lenore has taken pieces of jewelry from him, he uses a piece of evidence left behind to investigate the crimes himself.

City youth sets out for West to avenge father's murder. Arrives in town where killer lives and after a series of fights he accomplishes his purpose. Falls in love with school teacher and resolves to stay in town.

Happy Hanes, a ranch hand, comes between a crooked foreman and the new ranch owner Frances Powell. The foreman and his "half-breed" accomplice Cholo kidnap Frances.
