More and more prominent people are publicly admitting to being affected by dyslexia. Hardly any other aspect of learning at school has been researched as extensively in recent decades as dyslexia, and yet there is still a lack of clarity in the scientific community about causes and therapies, and children are left alone with the feeling of being a failure.

By observing the technological developments of artificial intelligence in several countries, this film sheds light on the advantages and limits of algorithms and their repercussions on the lives of citizens. Whether at the level of the State, the police, universities, or companies, artificial intelligences should be used as a tool, but very often become a substitute for the work of the individual. There are many abuses: manipulations, addictions, or centralization of power. What can governments and States do to best regulate these technological advances?

The German documentary is dedicated to an influential figure of the 20th century: Petra Kelly spent her life campaigning for feminism, environmental activism, human rights and peace. She was a political co-founder of the Green Party in the 1970s and 80s and protested against nuclear missiles in West Germany at the height of the Cold War. Above all, however, she believed that one person could very well change the world and thus rose to become an icon of the peace movement.

In Korntal, a small town of 9,000 souls in Baden-Württemberg, hundreds of children were abused in the homes of the Evangelical Brethren since the 1950s. Forced labour, physical punishment and sexualised violence were the order of the day. To date, more than 150 former children have broken their silence, more than 80 perpetrators have been identified. Because the latter covered for each other and the neighbours looked away, the children were defenceless against the abuse for decades. When the scandal was exposed in 2013, the community and the village were hostile at first: That which must not be cannot be. It was only when the pressure from the outside grew that the community initiated a process of dealing with the scandal. But it is controversial: victims are re-traumatised, their statements doubted. To this day the children from Korntal are fighting for investigation and compensation.

Soberly and with restraint, the director reconstructs the attempted femicide she survived fourteen years before. Intense conversations with people from her past provide an external perspective on an act subjectively and objectively impossible to grasp.
