Illustrator Donald Barstow living in a run-down studio building develops an interest in the married Mrs. Blakely. She invites him to Philadelphia for the weekend and he accepts leading to unexpected complications for both.

Nell Saunders is the daughter of an innkeeper in a college town. She is loved by Glen Dale, the quarterback of the college team, and also Pierson, the fullback.

Kentucky moonshiner, Bill Evans lives with his family in the back hills. His daughter Mary marries another moonshiner, Jack Keane, which angers Bill Gale. The plot involves a love triangle and family conflict stemming from the moonshining life.

Pretty country girl Hazel Dorn sings in her church choir when she sees a newspaper advertisement for chorus girls placed by theatrical manager John Hern. Despite her mother's pleas, she leaves home for the city. Hern has personal reasons for hiring the young girl and intends to lure her to her ruin. However, another, older girl, Fannie Rice, who has already been a victim of Hern, contrives to save Hazel.

A young Italian immigrant girl, uneducated and superstitious, finds an abandoned baby on the stairs of her tenement, with a note attached explaining the baby is illegitimate. A young newspaper reporter, whom the girl knows from waiting on him at the restaurant where she works, reads the note for her. But the police arrest her, at no evidence whatsoever other than possession of the baby, for kidnapping.

When Reverend Robert Henley and his sister Faith arrive in the town of Hell's Hinges, saloon owner Silk Miller and his cohorts sense danger to their evil ways. They hire gunman Blaze Tracy to run the minister out of town. But Blaze finds something in Faith Henley that turns him around, and soon Silk Miller and his compadres have Blaze to deal with.

She takes him back to her father's cabin to recover. Initially, the girl's father is truly angry about the situation. The young man saves the life of the older trapper (the father). Through gratitude, the father forms a business partnership with the young man, and the young people fall in love. The film concludes with the young man successfully "winning" Denise and presumably a happy ending.

Dirk Morgan, a trusted member of a powerful international criminal gang, receives word that the steamer Empress has left Melbourne with a secret shipment of gold; the letter also contains plans for the ship's hold and cabins. Dirk books passage for himself and Anne and they board the steamer in Sydney.

Family relationships of a New Mexico family are just one part of this silent cowboy western about a war veteran who finds a goldmine. He wants to earn enough money to take care of his young son, but crooked officials swindle him out of the mine, and then his son is killed. He swears vengeance and joins up with Mexican bandit, "Pancho Zapilla", who intends to destroy his whole town.

It all begins when Mrs. Rossmore (Dean) discovers that her husband (Howard Hickman) has begun "playing the field" with other women. Too much the lady to make an issue of Mr. Rossmore's infidelities, Mrs. Rossmore nonetheless begins plotting her strategy to win him back. She does so by putting on a great show of pretending not to want her husband to return to the nest.

Alvin escaping prison, becoming a music instructor under a false name, and falls in love with his student, Alice. His life unravels when his former girlfriend, Louise, threatens to expose him, leading to a complex plot of secrets, a suicide, and a confession that reveals a murder.

Most of the patients of Dr. Ward Allison are women, and his wife Margery is becoming increasingly jealous of all the time he spends with them. One day he tells her that he has been called out of town, but she is told that he is really staying at the house of a friend and colleague, Dr. Hendon, and the two are planning wild parties with their female patients. What she finds out, however, is even more shocking than what she expected.

Sauntry, secretary to John Graydon, the wealthy banker, commits many robberies in the city among the wealthy class, gaining a rather sinister reputation. He hides his tracks by placing a wooden leg on one of the good ones, thus leaving a print and a round mark. Graydon's diamond disappears and the chain to which it was tied is found by Limpy Fisher, a boy from the East Side, with a wooden leg.

Ranch foreman Ned Fern keeps the weekly payroll in his safe overnight. A gambler (and notorious murderer) holds Ned's I.O.U.s for a large amount. Ned's wife pleads with him not to gamble, but he goes anyway, increasing his debt to $1,500. The wife's actions and "wit" ultimately drive the plot.

The U.S. Army and the Sioux Indians sign a peace treaty. However, a group of surveyors trespass on the Indians' land and violate the treaty. The army refuses to listen to the Indians' complaints, and the surveyors are killed by the Indians. A vicious war ensues, culminating in an Indian attack on an army fort.
