Ministry of the Imperial Household

This work documents the enthronement ceremony and a series of rituals of Emperor Showa, which took place over nearly a month in November 1928. The national ceremony was also filmed by the Imperial Enthronement Filming Group, organized by film industry associations and media organizations, as well as the Imperial Household Ministry. The Ministry of Education version had its "first part" (2 reels) censored in mid-November, but there is no record of censorship for the "second part," and it is believed that this work is the final version that includes the visit to Emperor Taisho's mausoleum on November 29th in 2 reels.
