An wealthy Italian immigrant from São Paulo, watches closely the suitors of his daughter Fiametta, whose two previous husbands "suffered accidents" because they did not bear good children. She can only get pregnant of someone who, like her, bears the blood of the rare K factor.

On the eve of the premiere of a theatrical superproduction in the city of São Paulo, the assembly team performs the last dress rehearsal. But, mysteriously, the four leading actresses are poisoned. Now, the police will investigate each person related to the play to find out who caused the tragedy.
