The village genius Kuzma participates in a competition organized by a German dairy company and develops a miracle device capable of increasing milk yield dozens of times. His loyal friends help him with this, while the villain (represented by the Head of Administration) plots against him, trying to claim the invention for himself. The father, an avid hunter, sets off on a hunt with his four‑year‑old son to introduce his child to such a rare species of animal as the LEF (initially, it becomes clear that in the world of these characters, the word “LEF” does not decline). At first, the situation is under the control of the experienced “animal destroyer,” but at some point, the balance of power in the ill‑fated forest changes, and it’s not in favor of our heroes.

In this film, you won’t find noisy shootouts, spectacular chases, or sexual scenes. But you’ll get something greater: reflection on the questions that, one way or another, concern each of us. Two diametrically opposed personalities, two idealized characters — each of them has their own path and their own meaning in life. When these two different views of the world come into conflict, temptation, doubt, and disappointment arise. To be true to your ideals or to betray yourself — what will you choose?
