Anna and Ben run away from home after being mistreated by their parents. On their journey through a forest, Ben imagines fantastic mythical creatures called Tomori to escape reality, while the two learn to care for each other and find their true home.

The government is being manipulated. The underground group does not yet know who or what is behind it; they only know that children keep disappearing. To unravel the mystery, they must finally work together. They need to transform from lone wolves who bully one another into a team.
