With a suitcase in hand, a son arrives to visit his elderly mother.

A documentary floating on this thin border between fiction and reality. An author comes to a small city in Brazil’s countryside, to turn Emelyn’s life into a fictional narrative. The more the author teases Emelyn with cameras, the more she becomes Bernard, a teenager boy divided between living the desire and continuing desiring.

In a poor neighborhood crisscrossed by a polluted river, Tati, a 14-year-old girl, is forced to grow up alone in a troubled and confusing context. While learning to sail on the river, she dreams of being a boat rower. A job only ruled by men.

The language that is born from the intersection of cultures, is a pretext to speak of the genesis of Latin America. A road movie that does not seek an answer on the way, but rather to break all possible certainties of what it means to exist at the edges of cultural definitions.

Santiago, Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Paris, London, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo. The cities that witnessed the brief life of the poet, playwright and writer Caio Fernando Abreu (1948-1996) are now revisited and covered with fragments of his works and memories of his friends, such as Maria Adelaide Amaral, Grace Gianoukas and Adriana Calcanhoto.

When we give something a name, does it lose or make sense? A female body proposes an apparently simple game - it asks women from diverse generations the definition of something that in theory unifies them. Part of a transmedia project, the film is the main entrance to a narrative that has many points of view and no right answer.
