Story follows two best friend on private investigation. They are going to their hometown to prove that Michals mother was killed by his stepmother.

Olga is a complex young woman desperate to break free from her unfeeling family and social conventions. With her Louise Brooks-like tomboyish looks she drags herself, chain-smoking, from one job to another until she appears to find her niche as a truck driver. Although she has female lovers she does not form a bond with any of them; instead she clashes, time and again, venting herself in wordless emotional outbursts and other behavioural extremes.

35-year-old Eliska has a wedding and is waiting for her big moment. Instead of his "yes", the groom says "no" and runs away from the altar. Fortunately, overwhelmed Eliska has a great friend with a clear recipe for what needs to be done. She herself alternates boys as socks and therefore immediately bases her profile on a dating site. She doesn't like it very much, but she is middle-aged, she's single and she's afraid the train won't miss her. And she wants to take life more firmly in her hands. She therefore throws herself into a blind date and tries to find new love between a series of catastrophic meetings. At the same time, she has to move quickly and the only option is to live with her half-brother, a weirdo who grows bees on the roof and who does not want her at home.

Lukas' mother has the last hours of her life left. Her biggest wish is for Lukas to have a child. So Lukas asks his neighbor Natalie, who is five months pregnant, to visit his mother in the hospital and tell her that she is going to have his baby. His mother is finally happy - Lukas fulfilled her greatest wish. Soon after, they receive some very happy news - a new heart donor has been found. After the operation, Lukas and Natalie must keep up the act to avoid upsetting his recovering mother. As they play the devoted couple, the web of lies expands, ensnaring family friends and Lukas's colleagues. The deception starts to turn Lukas's life upside down.
