When Peter dies in 1725 without naming a successor, an era of palace coups and power struggles begins in Russia. Peter's widow, Catherine I, becomes Empress - the first woman to rule Imperial Russia. She wishes to fulfil the promise her late husband had given to their daughter, but fails. The Artek International Children's Center has always been a land of sunshine and loud laughter, but these camps will be special. While an obsessed astronomy professor scours the surrounding area in search of a fallen meteorite for long-awaited glory, inexplicable things begin to happen at the camp.
