After 50 years of service, the district usher Johann Peter Neusigl is supposed to get awarded a Royal-Bavarian medal of merit. Since government director Steinbeißl has announced that he wants to witness the awarding ceremony in person, district magistrate Kranzeder decided to splash out. He organises, with his wife Amalie, a banquet in their parlour, although both of them rather begrudge Neusigl the award. But after all, it is necessary to cut a good figure for the dignitaries. As the government director arrives, after a few incidents during his journey, belated, the event, however, has already degenerated into a boozy carousal which culminates in a scuffle.

12-year-old Jakob helps out at his mother's vegetable stand and also carries customers' purchased goods home. One day, an old woman with a long nose comes to the stand and claims that the herbs are bad and were better 50 years ago. Jakob is upset that she holds all the herbs to her nose and crushes them: "Take it away from your long nose!" he shouts and hits her hand. "Don't you like it, my beautiful long nose?" the woman scoffs, "You should have one too, even longer than mine." Finally, she buys some cabbages, which she wants Jakob to carry home for her. Jakob resists but is persuaded by his mother. Other market women whisper whether the old woman is not the evil fairy Kräuterweis.

The young Monika Dahlhoff returns from the USA after two years. As soon as she arrives, she learns that her father wants to sell his traditional stud farm, because he has quarreled with the members of the equestrian club. Accordingly annoyed is the old Dahlhoff, when his daughter just fell in love with the son of his greatest enemy. In the annual "Hubertusjagd" there is a dramatic encounter between the men.

Ever since a little girl received a red cap from her grandmother—which she loves to wear—everyone has called her “Little Red Riding Hood.” Little Red Riding Hood lives with her mother and her five brothers in a little cottage on the edge of the forest. Since their father passed away, Little Red Riding Hood’s brothers have been working as lumberjacks to support the family. The little girl helps her mother with the housework as best she can. When Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother falls seriously ill, her mother has to take care of her, while the girl handles the chores at home and also prepares meals for her five brothers.

He harnesses a servant who is working his old horse to death to his carriage and gives him the whip. The mountain spirit turns the gold of his rich and miserly cousin Klaus into stones. Having become hungry on his journey, Rübezahl stops at an inn in the guise of a carter. When the greedy innkeeper, out of sheer greed, nibbles half of the scrambled eggs he has ordered from his plate, Rübezahl demands the eggs he has already paid for back...

Once upon a time, there had been a tailor who sent his three sons out into the world, so that they might find fortune and learn something proper. The oldest went to a carpenter and was gifted a small table at the end of his apprenticeship. It set itself with all kinds of delicacies when ordered to. When he visits a hostelry, however, he gets cheated from the table by the innkeeper. The second son became the apprentice to a miller and received a donkey as a parting gift which could spew gold. But he as well got cheated out of the wages of his apprenticeship by the criminal innkeeper. The third son conveniently received a club as a parting gift from his turner master. Spontaneously, he helps his brothers reclaim what was theirs, and the thievish innkeeper experiences a bad surprise.

The plot closely follows the Grimm fairy tale. Hans, a hard-working miller's apprentice, sets off on a journey to discover the big, wide world. As a reward for his work, his master gives him a lump of gold to take with him. On his journey home, he encounters a series of swindlers who gradually rob him of his reward. First, Hans exchanges his gold for a horse, the horse for a cow, the cow for a pig, the pig for a goose, and the goose for a grindstone and a simple field stone. Finally, while drinking, he drops both stones into a well. At last he is happy. He is freed from all burdens, in every respect.

Franz, a Tyrolean mountain farmer's son and passionate poacher, loves the beautiful Sanna. A hunter, who is also interested in her, catches Franz poaching, shoots him and leaves him alone. On the way back to the valley, he falls into a crevasse and dies. When Franz returns home seriously injured by the shot, he is mistaken for the murderer of the missing hunter and is put on trial. Although he is acquitted for lack of evidence, the village community cannot prove his innocence. Everyone turns away from Franz, only Sanna sticks by him. They live in seclusion with their two children on a farmstead. Only when the children get lost in the mountains at Christmas time years later can the supposed murder case be solved.

Re-enactment of the attempt made in July 1961 by a french-italian group in order to climb Freney Pillar, in Mont Blanc massif. The expedition was composed by the frenchmen Pierre Mazaud, Robert Guillaume, Pierre Kohlmann and Antoine Vieille and by the italians Walter Bonatti, Andrea Oggioni e Roberto Gallieni. The groups arrived separatly to the camp of Col de la Fourche, but with the same aim. They united by chance to conquest the famous peak. The attempt is crushed by bad wheather and, during the descent, three French and an Italian will die.

One goat had seven young goats, whom she loved as only a mother can love her children. One day, when she had a few errands to run, the little ones had to promise her firmly not to open the door to anyone. As soon as the mother was out of the house, the bad wolf knocked. But the clever seven little goats did not let him in, as their mother had instructed them. But the wolf did not give up so easily and immediately concocted a cunning plan to outwit the little goats and enter the house.
