Inspired by a true story, the drama follows a coffee-farming couple living a simple life in Central Aceh’s Gayo Highlands, highlighting local culture, Didong art, and scenic landscapes.

Pertiwi returns to her hometown after spending two decades in prison to rebuild her life. There, she finds power in things that have been abandoned: discarded electronic devices that mysteriously light up and a community of outcasts living on the fringes of society. But coming home also means confronting the four men who sent her to prison and now rule the village. Together with the outcasts, Pertiwi begins to uncover the darkness that still haunts the place - and the past she thought she had left behind.

Set during the volatile final months of Indonesia’s New Order regime, the narrative chronicles a young student activist's perilous commitment to pro-democracy underground movements and his family's subsequent, grueling quest for justice following his forced disappearance.
