Documentary about the life of the indigenous people in the Andes and in the slums of Lima, and of their religiosity.

The film explores how societal expectations, school situations (the titular "exam"), and social class differences affect the child's psyche. It sensitively portrays how the carefree interaction and trust between two children can be damaged by the competitive spirit and social status modeled by the adult world.
