Recent archaeological discoveries in Germany have changed the way we look at Celtic society and the major role played by women.

In a village on the Yucatán Peninsula, women preserve an almost forgotten heritage: the culture of the stingless Melipona bee, which was revered as a sacred animal by the Maya. The documentary follows Evelyn and her cooperative in the struggle for biodiversity, cultural knowledge and a new role for women in a patriarchal society.
