When a young woman moves into a new apartment after the death of her best friend, she begins to be plagued by horrors of the supernatural kind. They mock her as we come to realize that she is responsible for the death of her friend.

Reesa is a young woman who was raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina by her grandmother, Myra, after her mother's death. Now an adult, Reesa is married to a loving partner, Khari, and is pregnant with her first child. The Gullah Geechee Urban legend of a boo hag plagues this pregnancy. This creature feeds on the stress and grief of families and at a time like this in Reesa's life, it has latched on tight.
