Larbi Trach is a retired Moroccan migrant worker who has lived in France for over fifty years. One day, he learns that not only is he suffering from a serious illness, but that he has only three months to live. The shock, which is great, is coupled with a serious question: how will he break such dramatic news to his children? Turning the question in his head, he plunges into the past, revisiting his early years in Morocco.

Al Fajr is the first Tunisian feature film. It tells the story of three young Tunisians who fight against the French colonisation.
