The steady, uneventful life of Roma, a lonely ninth-grader, is disrupted by Polina—a rebellious older student who is constantly getting into wild escapades. Together, they attempt to unravel the mystery of a mystical VHS tape—number seven—rented from a local video store. Drawn into a dangerous adventure and growing genuinely close, they have no idea what kind of choice the investigation’s conclusion will force them to make.

"Closing" is a film almanac made up of nine verses. Instead of a rap beat, there is beer, rain, a beach, a zoo, random conversations, and a city that lives its own life. These are not stories with a beginning and an end, but statements written into the rhythm of the festival, where cinema becomes a way to be together and a way to be alone. Any almanac is a film cypher: everyone goes to the microphone, says their piece, and leaves, leaving room for someone else. "Closing" is exactly that: a collection of voices in which you can hear laughter, fatigue, love, and meaninglessness. This is a film about how cinema closes the day and opens the night.

A loose adaptation of Chekhov's "The Man in a Case," where the school is replaced by a frantic TikTok house, and the Greek teacher is replaced by a panicked blogger trying to hide his life from the absurdity around him.

This film is a love expression. It contains scenes from life and allusive scenes. The plot is based on the Hindu myth of the Garuda bird, as well as the philosophy that goes with it.
