Seetharam is in love with Kalyani and wants to propose to her. However, when two lovers, Akhila and Akash, play a prank on Seetharam that results in him losing Kalyani, he takes revenge on them.

A woman helps her daughter elope with her lover after she finds out about their affair. But soon, her father, the village chief, sends his henchmen to find them and bring them back home.

Kai Ezhuthu Gounder (Manivannan) and Kai Naattu Gounder (K. Prabakaran) are the village's bigwig and best friends. While their children Raja (Arun Vijay) and Indhu (Kirthika) hate each other, they are classmates and quarrel continually. In contrast, their fathers want to marry them. Sorna (Rajashree), a dancer, comes to their village to separate the thick friends. Finally, Raja and Kirthika fall in love with each other. Sorna seduces the thick friends and create a conflict between them. In the past, Kai Ezhuthu Gounder and Kai Naattu Gounder tries to rape Sorna's sister and before it she committed suicide. Since that day, Sorna wanted to take revenge. Raja and Indhu are distraught, Sorna only wanted to punish Kai Ezhuthu Gounder and Kai Naattu Gounder but not the young lovers, so she comes to their rescue. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Paramasivan has two sons : Subramani and Ganesan. Ganesan, the eldest, gets married with Segamalam. In the meantime, Subramani and Segamalam's sister Parimala fall in love with each other, even if they are from different villages. Devaraj, the owner of a gambling club, wants to get married with Parimala but she refuses and ridicules him. So Devaraj decides to take revenge. Ganesan is a gambler and he even landed his family's bungalow to Devaraj. Later, Devaraj tries to sell it but Subramani settles the amount at time. Devaraj wants to absolutely split the lovers. Giri and Kutti earn their livelihood as house-brokers in the city mainly through their glib talk. Their troubles start when "Torture Dharma" is unexpectedly released from Jail on bail. Giri is the caretaker of Dharma`s house, a portion of which he rents out to Geetha who has come to the city to meet her lover Aravind. Giri to save Geetha from Dharma lies that she is his wife. He is forced to tell a series of lies to keep up the deception.
