In the latest edition of his poetic series, Wojciech Sobczyk reimagines our ideas and fantasies about this season to create a captivating, sensual, and at times unsettling audiovisual poem. From images of the changing autumn landscape, the animator extracts a universal tale of human nature and man’s place and role in the world.

A one-of-a-kind portrayal of the Helena Modrzejewska National Stary Theatre in Kraków. The camera follows the halls inside the building and reveals the secrets hiding in its walls. It takes us to places behind the curtains, inaccessible for the audience on a regular day, and stumbles upon the people of the theatre, both real and legendary. The spirit of the theatre becomes alive on the screen.

Malgorzata (Maggie) is 50 years old. She was born with a condition called muscular dystrophy. A few years ago she stopped even moving her fingers altogether. Teamed up with Krystian (Chris), her life partner and a motorbikes lover, she sets out on a journey of a lifetime during which they try their best to slowly tame the inevitably oncoming death.

Do you dream of an unforgettable wedding? A bartender show, flaming ice cream or marzipan figurines of the bride and groom on the cake are passé. The current fad is... a dessert dachshund!

The film shows a surprisingly refreshing approach to ecology. The protagonists are scientists, artists and enthusiasts who are related to nature on very different levels and present the relationship between man and nature from a completely novel perspective. We need to learn to live with the awareness that people have irreversibly changed the world they share with millions of other species. Which of them have best adjusted to the life in a city? Why do nature films show a false image of nature? What can we learn from plants and animals that can adapt to a life among waste?
