A Jewish boy separated from his family in the early days of WWII poses as a German orphan and is taken into the heart of the Nazi world as a 'war hero' and eventually becomes a Hitler Youth.

Poland, Christmastime. A band of hyperintelligent, bloodthirsty Martians take over the country and enlist hapless television newscaster Iron Ide as the voice of their propaganda machine. But when Iron dares to go off message, he makes an enemy even greater than the aliens—the state itself.

Kaziuk, a stubborn peasant and his pregnant wife live in a backwood village, unaffected by the civilization. In a stir of frustration Kaziuk cuts down a family tree - a sacrilegious act in the eyes of his family. Going a step further and using a scythe for cutting the rye instead of a sickle brings the whole village against him.

The ex-architect's wife is a professional singer who has not abandoned the city or her life -- and she soon arrives to spend some time with her very changed husband.

The protagonist of the film is Wojtek, who works in finding amber. One day, someone attacks him and steals a whole bag of them. Wojtek decides to find the attacker. However, it is going to be very dangerous.

Tomek comes from the so-called good family. However, she cannot find a common language with her parents. They are not very interested in what their child is doing. Tomek falls in love with nurse Ania, who becomes pregnant. He is friends with Mariusz, who is a member of his team. Mariusz lives in an orphanage. There he has problems with a certain drug addict. Tomek wants to help him, but his parents don't like it. They want Tomek to break off contacts with Ania and Mariusz. They believe that this is not company for their son.

Old friends come to the reunion of alumni, for whom the meeting after many years is an opportunity for memories, but also comparisons of who have been most successful in their lives.

A Pole who spent time in an internment camp during the war on the Swiss-German border, visits the site many years later and recalls these days. He meets with other Poles confined in the same camp, including several women, in whose he had romantic interests.

A young landowner, Michal Rajecki, falls in love with a beautiful country girl, Warszulka, with reciprocity. During one of their trysts, Rajecki gives the girl hope for a future together.
