Some young folks, tired of the society they're living in, plan a bomb attack over Paris before taking shelter for a night in a shopping center.

A filmmaker picks a "real" subject to shoot, and when she sees Guy on the street, she latches onto him. At first, Guy is enraged that someone is just following him around, filming, but soon he begrudgingly accepts her presence, then gets attached to the attention.

In the end, Carole discovers that Jean's "other woman" has no real existence, causing a crisis that finds a symbolic expression as the last scenes close on the story.
