Rafael is an aspiring painter who has just arrived at Heitor's atelier, an experienced artist, but his entrance seems to arouse a series of consternations that go beyond his ordinary duty as a disciple.

A woman sees an apparition at a waterfall near her home. Obsessed by the ghost's image, which naturally begins to fade from her memory, she hunts down and captures a butterfly, hoping it will make the ghost reappear.
