After the loss of their mother, Maxine and Xavier's father becomes very distant and neglectful to his family. This causes Maxine to start acting out and serious alarm bells go off when her brother and older sister spot her black eye.

A new widow and her friends travel to the sacred land where her husband proposed to pay respects. But it soon becomes evident this is no ordinary place as horrific visions and living nightmares begin to torment them - with their pasts.
