A story about the inhabitants of the small Taimyr village of reindeer herders Novy Popigai, who belong to the small endangered northern Dolgan people.

Architectural office "Khvoya" created by five young architects - graduates of the Academy of Arts. All of them are young, able to work around the clock, united by a common idea. Ilya Spiridonov and his colleagues are preparing for a big, very important competition for "Khvoya". Victory in it promises fame, a cash prize and the construction of the object submitted to the competition.
