During a children's birthday party, the uncle of one of the guests discovers that the birthday boy is not what everyone thinks.

Martín is a young adult who grew up in the modern, desert-like city of Mérida. He has a very strict after-work routine: drinking a few beers while watching television, until a childhood friend interrupts his routine by unexpectedly giving him a plant. After several clumsy attempts by Martín to care for the plant, it grows uncontrollably.

A young woman opens a door to the past when she decides to buy an old house, and her companion reveals that a terrible tragedy occurred there decades ago. Intrigued, she delves into the mystery of the house, only to discover a story full of passion and betrayals.

Martina goes to the doctor for a persistent stomach ache, but the diagnosis is as unusual as it is disturbing: what's inside her aren't simple symptoms, but butterflies... or perhaps moths. Between confusion and disgust, Martina discovers that her body is hiding more than she can bear.
