Every year, Rose and Lina, two sisters who aren’t particularly close, have to make the trip to Ostend in Belgium for the traditional New Year’s Day swim imposed by their mother. Problem: she is no longer there... she’s dead.

Venance, an overweight teenager, faces remarks and teasing about his weight, in his neighborhood and even in his own family. His body reacts to become an outlet for his pain.

One evening, Alia and Neena, two young Indian women, dine at Sulaimani, an Indian restaurant in Paris. The meal stirs up buried emotions and "unleashes" certain memories that slowly reveal why they left their country.

Marguerite experiences a triple loss: her mother who dies in childbirth, the dog she inherits, and then her nanny, who her father lets go. Alone after these losses, she finds solace in nature at Mont Noir, which shapes her path to becoming a writer.

Five high school students try to break free and search for happiness by any means necessary: carving their bodies, pretending to be blind, reshaping their image on social media, diving into drugs. Their intertwined journeys lead them to glimpse a ray of hope—until everything falls apart at 2:14PM.
