A look at poverty in post-war Athens. Kosmas, a young man living in the slums, constantly tries to make ends meet, hoping for a better day. Because of debts, he gets tangled up in smuggling. His morals are tested and he tries to find a way out.

A peaceful, frightened little man is mistakenly identified as "The Dragon", a notorious criminal at large. He briefly and reluctantly rules the underworld until they realize their mistake.

The theft of a valuable painting from New York and the kidnapping of the daughter of the painting's owner, Harris Savvas, puts Rita Kalogirou, a private detective, in trouble. A wealthy family of art collectors in Greece is the focus of suspicion. Rita enters their home pretending to be Savvas' daughter, who is friends with them. On her first night there, she discovers two terrible secrets. One is that she is in love with the youngest member of the family, Petros, who is a rally driver. The second secret gets her into even more trouble...

Helena (Xenia Kalogeropoulou) returns to Greece after studying in Paris and on the ship home she meets Dinos (Dinos Iliopoulos). An attraction develops between them and after a while Dinos asks for her hand in marriage. Helena though cannot accept his proposal because she is pregnant.

A cruise ship of high class people sets sail for the Aegean islands. The owner's son, who is fed up with being 'the captains son' changes his name in order to have a full cruise experience.
