They tell their stories authentically, seriously and imaginatively, sometimes with the subtlety and humor that only children are capable of. Because only children can find simple answers to seemingly unanswerable questions.

13 years after the premiere of "7 oder warum ich auf der Welt bin", we meet them again: the 7 children from all over the world. How did they find their way into adulthood?

181 Berliners gaze at us: infants, chambermaids, workers, managers, dancers, divers, lawyers, confirmation candidates, boy scouts, a circus director. These are faces from West Berlin with which Antje Starost and Hans Helmut Grotjahn aim to capture a piece of reality.

Filmmakers observe a large swing boat swinging rhythmically into the frame in front of the Reichstag building – a kind of dream ship whose passengers are moving but not moving.
