Franka turned twenty and moves out from her parents’ home due to feuds with her domineering fa-ther. She goes to the apartment inherited from her grandmother, where she runs into illegal occupant and law student Ante. Instead of throwing him out, Franka lets Ante stay for a few days. What starts as a romance, soon turns to a nightmare that, coupled with a newly struck friendship with a troubled co-worker Stela not only tests Franka’s character, but also helps her to realise what she wants out of life.

Albania, 1996. Mira lives in Elbasan with her two sons while her husband works illegally in Greece. Struggling to make ends meet, she invests in a pyramid scheme, hoping for a better future. When close friends migrate, mira grows desperate and sells their apartment to reinvest, moving in with her parents. But the scheme collapses, the country falls into chaos, and mira loses everything. Her teenage son toni becomes violent, eventually arming himself during a riot. Fearing for their safety, Mira decides to flee Albania with her sons. After a dangerous journey, they arrive in Thessaloniki—lost, without Arben, but finally together. At the luna park, they find a fleeting moment of peace.

High up on the Greek mountains, there is a remote village, whose residents strongly believe in myths and superstitions. Peter is a teenager, who has grown up in this suffocating environment with his strict grandmother and overprotective mother, who have forced him to wear a protective mask over his eyes since the day he was born. Peter suffers from an “eye disease” and he is gradually losing his sight. Before he becomes completely blind, he and his best friend Aemon will travel away from home and go to the place they desire the most: to see the view up from the top of the recently built wind turbines. Through their adventures, Peter will come-of-age, and learn the painful truth about his eye condition and the lies he has been told. He will understand that to complete his journey he must sacrifice his own eyes.
