The story is set in the late 1970s somewhere in the Mediterranean where Marcos Timoleon, an Aristotle Onassis-like tycoon, is throwing a lavish, extravagant birthday party for Sofia, his daughter and sole heiress, on his exclusive private island. The party is a perfect excuse for various people in his life to approach him with their own agendas. But Marcos, who is used to ruthlessly controlling everything and everyone around him at whatever cost, is also secretly plotting a big decision on his daughter’s behalf.

Teo’s dream of dancing with Mia in the school competition seems hopeless…until he meets Ro, a funny bird-like creature with wondrous abilities, lost in the city. Ro’s friendship will help the wayward boy find his feet, but it will take more than dancing for Teo and Mia to help Ro find his way home before a looming disaster.

Set in the Summer of 94, in Sandwell, West Midlands. The dramatic story of Lumbu and best friend Ravi as they navigate the consequences of a long-held family secret finally becoming known. As the secret gets out, Ravi loses control and learns about the tyrannies of the adult world.
