Keka is a virtuoso housewife who suffers because of the lethargy of her marriage with Baja, a concerned railway worker. After Baja finally becomes aware of Ilija's intentions and after the two of them demolish Keka's home as a result of their clumsy showdowns, Keka decides to leave both of them and to go on a trip to the only place where she felt some happiness - to a small coastal village where she and Baja went on their honeymoon... However, things start to complicate because Keka falls under the scrutiny of Lujo, an untypical lonely fisherman-flirter. Baja and Ilija decide to go on a trip, to embark on the biggest adventure in their lives and to prove their love to Keka...

Ante and Dusko are two Dream Team players. Besides being a Croat and a Serb who fought on opposite sides in the war, both used to be volleyball players. Today, they live normal lives, one in a remote craggy region, the other in Banja Luka. There is little chance of them ever meeting again. The International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague has indicted Colonel Skoko, a hero to some, a criminal to the others. The two main witnesses to his defense, Mato and Joso, have disappeared without a trace. Skoko's sponsor from the intelligence circles, Antisa, wants to find two men resembling Mato and Joso, to impersonate them before the Hague investigators, and hopefully bring down the indictments. Naturally, the two men he finds are none other than our heroes, Ante and Dusko.

Hela Martinic is a reporter, who returns to her home town from Australia, called by her old friend Vera Kralj. Soon after arrival, she is told her friend was killed in a traffic accident. At the funeral she meets some people who Vera was involved in some sinister activities and she begins her own investigation.

Protagonist of the film is Melita Zganjer, woman who desperately tries to lose weight. This proves to be very difficult because she works in a pastry shop. Unlike her man-eating roommate Visnja, she only dreams about love and spends all her free time watching South American soap opera "Slave of Love". The man of his dreams is much closer than she thinks, though. Janko, young man who delivers pastry, loves Melita but is too shy to express his feelings. In the meantime, Eva, policewoman and another of Melita's roommates, tries to set her up with one of her colleagues. Those efforts fail, but Melita's dreams seems to come true with Antonio Mulero, "Slave of Love" star who arrived to Zagreb to shoot a feature film.

As a child of five, he was, literary taken from his birth-place and now - bereft of his parents and family, he will try to solve the puzzling event of his childhood. Thus, in this place where so many unusual things have happened which may have had an influence on the dramatic destiny his family has suffered, he turns attention to himself by to his personal investigation. The town is, however, threatened by the river which already has sunk a good part of the cemetery. Along this threat an unexpected plot, in the genre of a film noir, thriller and horror - a certain «fantasy of soul», develops.

After a series of unfortunate events, TV subscription collector Pero falls into a deep emotional crisis from which he cannot escape. His only goal is - spiritual peace and, if possible - revenge. People he holds responsible are randomly chosen citizens of the Pusca Bistra village. After he accidently finds out certain facts, Pero finds irrefutable evidence about unhonorable acts of Pusca's citizens and accidently blackmails the entire village.

In a fictional Central European country democracy and freedom are only illusion, because behind polished surface there's many cases of murders and manipulations with the people. Police and city authorities are helpless when it comes to revealing the evil and culprits behind it. In the center of this story is the writer Ivan Gajski, whose friend died under sketchy circumstances. Gajski reveals that those who most advocate democracy are not only the same involved in these crimes, but they also did some of the murders as a part of TV production. Gajski meets all kinds of characters through this quest of his, including the woman of his wife Sara, and professor Bošković who discovers the origins of present Evil - the dark past of European continent.
