The New Year's musical film has everything that Andersen described in his famous fairy tale "The Snow Queen", but with the attributes of the modern world. The Snow Queen is a powerful woman who charms the young man Kai and promises to make a pop star out of him.

New Year's musical about the love of the Zaporozhian Cossack Yevhen and the daughter of the headman of the Cossack village, Polina, who, despite various obstacles, will anyway be together. In order to settle his personal life, Yevhen, together with his friends Ostap and Batia, go to Moscow to buy "vodka with bubbles", which they have to bring to the girl's father for the New Year. Adventures await them on the way.

The story begins on New Year's Eve. The editor of the newspaper Orest Orlov offers the successful 35-year-old correspondent Ksenia to take a candid interview with the famous Canadian hockey player Denis Kravtsov. But everything is not as simple as it seems at first glance, because the journalist and the athlete had an affair 10 years ago...

In the remote Ukrainian village of Dykanka, handsome but poor Vakula loves the beautiful Oksana, but she's holding out for a wealthy prince, and her father doesn't think much of him either. On Christmas Eve she sends him on a ridiculous quest for dancing shoes that takes him all the way to the imperial palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia, with the help of some odd characters from the village and the Devil himself.

Based on the famous novel by Ilya Il'f and Yevgeniy Petrov this two-part-TV-movie tells the story of the of Ostap Bender and Kisa Vorobyaninov who are searching for hidden jewelry, hidden in one of twelve chairs by Vorobyaninov's aristocratic mother-in-law, to hide it during the revolution. But their priest, Father Fyodor found out about it and starts searching for the same chairs. During the movie the story is commented by the authors themselves who are writing it during the process.

The story begins with an ordinary family celebrating New Year at their house. Having seen an announcement on TV about the intergalactic song contest "Cosmovision", Masha immediately decides to take part in it. Her family supports her and goes with her and the aliens to the contest. There, the earthlings meet the stars of intergalactic show business: the legendary singer Diva, the hero Zed, the talented artist Fortiano and the cunning pop singer Baron-Star, who is planning something terrible against the "Cosmovision" participant Masha.

The documentary project uses footage from documentary chronicles, archival documents, and historical reconstructions. Historians, psychologists, lawyers, and employees of the Nuremberg Trials Museum talk about the 20th-century trial. Among the project's protagonists is Benjamin Ferencz, US Army prosecutor at the Nuremberg trial of the Einsatzgruppen.
