Becoming a flight attendant at 20: at Ryanair, it's possible! The low-cost airline, one of the most lucrative on the planet, employs several thousand crew members from all over Europe. However, more and more of these workers are denouncing their working conditions within the company: pressure on on-board sales, brutal management, omerta... Low cost has a social cost, and these young people claim to be paying a high price. At a time when Ryanair is posting record results, we take to the skies of Europe to investigate the Ryanair system and meet those who are questioning it from the inside.

Go and live on an island in the third millennium? Far from the teeming cities and their overwhelming influence? Deliberately deprive oneself of mainland rhythms and access to anything, anywhere, any time? What an idea! And yet some have taken up the challenge. A crazy, offbeat, out of date challenge, or maybe one that is ahead of its time because life on an island is one that you create for yourself. Three new islanders realize that and have dropped anchor on Groix, an island in Brittany, rebellious but welcoming those who come to fulfill their project with an open heart: a doctor, because the island needs one; a divorced teacher who wants to rebuild her life; and an immigrant born of another Atlantic, who is so adaptable that he will be able to integrate. And so goes life on the island, which adopts unhesitatingly and offers its insularity as an identity.

From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, scientists are reconstructing lost geographies. Prehistorians are examining the resources drawn from the coastline. Others are taking a fresh look at what we thought we knew: our maritime presence is much stronger than expected. All are gradually unveiling the bond that has long united man and the sea.
