Bruno, a 45-year-old police officer, is investigating tax offences within a company. The main suspect, the auditor Metelli, is found dead in a hotel room: around his neck is a stocking tied to a lamp.

It follows a boy who, during the 2020 lockdown, loses his mother to suicide and learns to survive the pain between solitude, fear and love.
