The Parisian restaurant "At the Oyster King's" is looking for a new waitress, whose job would be to crack open oysters with a newfangled oyster cracker (how exciting!). But who would have thought that this newfound invention would lead to so much turmoil (they're French, aren't they?)?! Through a mix-up, Lilli Dupont gets the job. But Lilli is no waitress, but rather a talented singer, waiting in vain for an engagement. She takes the job and soon every male visitor is laying at her feet. So that Lilli doesn't constantly have to fight off all the horny men, the cashier Aristide spreads the rumor that Lilli is actually the daughter of the millionaire van Muhlen, to whom the "Oyster King" belongs (daughter of a millionaire?!? Oh yes, of course: that will dissuade potential suitors!).

Endstation offers the American viewer tantalizing glimpses of busy, bustling mid-1930s Vienna. Otherwise, this minor yarn of an amorous streetcar conductor is strictly formula material. The film benefits from the star power of Paul Horbiger, resplendently garbed in an elaborate conductor's uniform. Also worth noting is the performance of Maria Andergest as the woebegone hatmaker whose fate is inextricably linked with hero Horbiger. Incidentally though the direction is credited with one E. W. Emo, Paul Horbiger actually called most of the shots on Endstation.

Ferdinand Strödl is the regular coachman for the distinguished Max Jolander, who is constantly on the lookout for romantic adventures. Jolander regularly has Strödl drive him to his rendezvous, during which the coachman witnesses the suffering of many a jilted girl. At such times, Strödl acts as a fatherly friend to Jolander when the consequences of his escapades take on tragic proportions.

Mr. Rossi and Mr. Capelli, co-owners of a successful traveling circus, have a rivalry over the affections of the lovely Dolores. That's all settled after Rossi is mauled to death by a lion. Years later a series of accidents, attacks and mysterious deaths plague the circus.

Herzensfreud-Herzensleid (literally translates to "Heartfelt Joy - Heartbreak"), the 1940 Hubert Marischka German family relationship romantic comedy starring Magda Schneider, Paul Horbiger (later, he appeared in "The Third Man"!), Olly Holzmann, Lucie Englisch, and Walter Muller. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S.

Composer Franz Schubert becomes involved with a family with three daughters, falling in love with the two blonds, first one, then the other; but will he notice the quiet brunet third daughter, who has fallen madly in love with him?

The seamstresses Franzi and Mizzi have opened up a small shop in a suburb of Vienna. Mizzi is of the opinion, however, that her friend could have a much better life if only she'd marry Karl, the son of the landlord, who has been hot for her for quite a while now. Next store to them lives a rather elegant gentleman, whom Mizzi does not like. One day, an excited woman bursts into the studio, tears off her clothes and begs the girls to act as if they're fitting her for a dress should her husband waltz on in, too. In fact, her jealous husband Stefan does show up and is thrilled to discover that his Gerda isn't cheating on him. But Mizzi and Franzi are positive, that she's been meeting a certain elegant gentleman next door.

A formerly unsuccessful musician comes back to his homeland in Carinthia as a famous composer via Broadway and woos his widowed childhood sweetheart.

When Eberhard Wacker's marriage is made fun of at the regulars' table "Der treue Husar", he wants to prove to his drinking brothers who wears the pants in the Wacker house. Out of the marriage yoke, into the fun, meaning the big carnival ball that takes place next week. And there is one ironclad condition: the women stay at home. But the merry fellows have made their calculations without the fair wives. And so it goes: "Once upon a time there was a faithful hussar who loved his girl for a whole year. A whole year and much more, the love never ended.

The young Kamma von Ruessing has left her boarding room. She's an orphan and hopes to experience the joy of life in the home of her prestigious and wealthy uncle. Unfortunately, she soon discovers that her uncle is impoverished and can't support her. The only refuge is a noble establishment, which her mother had bought years ago. In this establishment live old ladies, who stand at the threshold of old age and are done with life.

An exchanged suitcase and a burglary with an actress give occasions to whirl a family with daughters-in-law and brides hard in a mess. Old mistake comedy according to pattern.
