When greedy property developers attempt to force the feisty 67-year-old Natalia off her small plot of land – a garden oasis in the midst of an apartment complex in Kyiv – she fights back, refusing to be defeated. When her entire country is subsequently invaded by ruthless land-grabbing individuals, her rebellious fight only grows stronger in spirit.

The film explores the catastrophic influence of Russian invasion on nature in Ukraine. This is a journey from the harmonious life of nature to the fiery whirl of war which burns out the earth, forests and all flesh. As the spring comes, nature revives and brings new life among animals despite the irreversible damage. Yet the tremendous scope of the tragedy deprives us of hope for immediate natural recovery and cleaning of the remains of war.

After the war ends, 25-year-old Stepan arrives in Kyiv to conquer the city and its club scene. But memories of occupation and captivity haunt him every night, making it impossible to escape his past.

Amir is an immigrant who has lived in Ukraine for a long time and works as a translator. He is trying to save his relationship with his young daughter after a difficult divorce. Experiencing an identity crisis, he gets lost in a whirlwind of one-night stands and parties. Anticipating war, his ex-wife takes their daughter to Europe. Amir is forced to make a quick decision: stay, return to his homeland, or become an immigrant again.

13-year-old Khodor is a child whose family tries to issue him an ID document that proves his existence and gives him the right to education, health-care and movement outside of the Palestinian refugee camp of Shatila in Beirut, Lebanon. Through the process, many of the family's old secrets are revealed.

Stuck in Shatila refugee camp without an identity, Khodor is a loud, unpredictable teenager whose life revolves around pigeons, fleeting relationships, and a system that won't recognize him. As his stepmother fights to secure an ID that would grant him freedom beyond the camp, access to education, and health care, Khodor's wild spirit and charm leave us wondering-can a boy with no papers ever find a way out?

The director decides to travel to Ukraine, her native country, for the duration of the film, to explore her family history, but the outbreak of war disrupts her family's daily life.
