Two female producers are commissioned to create a short documentary for an exhibition dedicated to Rubén Santantonín, an elusive figure of the Argentine avant-garde who died very young, in the late 1960s. However, the client imposes one unexpected condition: the video must be made together with David Lamelas, Santantonín’s former collaborator and today an internationally recognized figure of conceptual art. At first, the plan seems clear and limited in scope: Lamelas, accompanied by a young film crew, gathers archival materials, documents the few surviving works, and interviews curators and major artists – such as Luis Felipe Noé and Marta Minujín – who, along with Santantonín and Lamelas, peopled the legendary scene at the Instituto Torcuato Di Tella. Lamelas gradually realizes that reconstructing the story of his friend also means confronting a series of gaps and contradictions.

MONTAGE is a film record of the Montaje/Lachenmann recital presented by the Proa Foundation on November 8, 2013 in collaboration with the Contemporary Music Series. The recital project revolved around three Pieces for three soloists by Helmut Lachenmann, a nucleus that manifests itself as an index of radicalism from which a story of the direction that guides the career of its author can be undertaken. The program concluded with the simultaneous performance of those three Pieces, a version that appears in the Lachenmanian catalog under the name of Montage and for which there is no score or record. What is heard at the conclusion of this documentary could be the only record, so far, of that ghost version that the composer advises not to try.

The documentary registers with detail this first visit to Argentina. It's a meditation on the artistic and conceptual processes that Ai Weiwei needs to think of his art. The images dialogue between the director and his instagram, revealing an intimate side, close to the people.

In 2000 Alejo Moguillansky, Diego H. Flores and Fermín Villanueva filmed for three days aboard the ARA San Juan submarine. Twenty years later, Alejo Moguillansky edited that old material in this travel chronicle called The Submarine Night, narrated by Luciana Acuña and himself, written together with Mariano Llinás.

On 9 July – Argentina’s Independence Day – Llinás sets off in Buenos Aires with his regular cameraman Agustín Mendilaharzu to re-record ‘Corsini interpreta a Blomberg y Maciel’, an album made in 1929 by lyricist Hector Pedro Blomberg and composer Enrique Maciel, as an ode to Juan Manuel de Rosas, leader of the Argentine Confederation.
