Francesca has a serious problem: her grandson Alessandro. After the death of his parents, she has been a mother and also a father to him. But now that he is 27 years old, Alessandro cannot seem to find his place in the world.

In 2016, Andrea Michelini, a highly regarded artist, is preparing to make his theater debut in the final "twelve performances" of a successful show entitled Banana Blu: a Neapolitan version of Il vizietto, written by Michelini himself, now in its fifth season. Alongside Andrea, whom everyone calls "Gigi" in French, is his partner, Rolando Spinelli.
