The story narrates the reality of the border city (Mandali) situated between Iraq and Iran, where the girl Lamia maintains loving relationships with everyone, highlighting the role of infiltrators like the madman who transmits information about the city to the other side.

The film depicts life in Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war through the characters of the fighters Jabbar and Imad (played by Jalal Kamel and Nizar Al-Samarrai). This led various parties to attempt his assassination, including the servant Sa'id, who is also disposed of after the assassination. The film also portrays aspects of life in Iraq during the 1930s.
