An Iraqi romantic comedy

Based on real events, the film tells the story of an Iraqi pilot who was shot down in Iran during the Iran-Iraq War. As he tries to find his way back, the injured pilot transverses the hostile and dangerous terrain using the stars and the flight of birds to guide him.

The young man Essam is studying engineering and is in love with his sweetheart as they dream of tomorrow. But things take a turn when Essam joins the army as he is sent on a military mission in Iran during the war, and his squad suffers severe difficulties due to the harsh terrain.

The story follows Tawfiq, a young man who witnesses profound social and political changes that reveal the pervasive and enduring corruption in his country, Iraq.

The film presents, in a comedic manner, how to execute a dramatic film featuring a love story between a young man and a young woman. It depicts the execution of comedic scenes by shooting at the lover, as well as the selection of a cart and horse by the carriage driver Alwan. Alwan becomes annoyed during filming by the romantic expressions between the lovers, believing them to be real, which causes disruptions in the film's production.

Qassem has an accident that causes him to experience amnesia. A rural family finds him and gives him the name Hammady. He lives happily until another accident leads to the recovery of his memories.

A dispute over ownership of a piece of land creates escalating problems between an affluent young girl and a simple employee as both try to win the land. The girl insists on vacating it and he insists on compensation. The girl goes to court and the judge finds a loophole in the case.

Before the July 1958 revolution, Abu Saeed decides to incite the peasants to rebel against Sheikh Majid Al-Iqtai, who had burned their crops, exploited them, and enslaved them for many years. He succeeds in rallying the people's spirits against him.

The diary of an electricity meter reader who constantly suffers from being chased by dogs. He falls in love with a mute girl, while the playful neighbor woman tries to catch his attention, causing jealousy in the mute girl. This leads to amusing incidents that captivate the entire neighborhood.

Iraqi police drama

A border village during the Iran-Iraq war experiences the evils of war from the viewpoint of a young man who reflects on the fate that befell his village in this grinding war. The reality of war is reflected by the villagers who try to lead a normal life despite all the hardships they are facing.

Ibrahim finds himself under intense nervous pressure as he seeks revenge for his father's murder by one of the sons of his village in a brawl that occurred between them. At the same time, a love relationship arises between him and the girl Ward, so he tries to persuade his family to forgive and distance themselves from bloodshed. On the other hand, Ibrahim tries to monitor what is happening in his work, dealing with theft and looting, attempting to rectify the situation in various ways.

Fatima is a rural woman left behind when both her husband and brother depart to fight in the war. Alone, she carries the weight of survival, caring for her elderly father and young son, tending the land and livestock, and traveling long distances to bring water home. Amid the grind of daily hardship, longing consumes her. A horse once ridden and cherished by her husband becomes her sole emotional bridge to the absent men, embodying memory, hope, and endurance. Through it, she waits endlessly for their letters, clinging to reassurance that they are still alive.

The story revolves around Iraqi army men who, following a historic struggle with the occupying forces, were buried alive in their shelters in the Hafar al-Batin border area by huge bulldozers. Filming began in the spring of 2000, with the city of Habbaniyah selected as the primary shooting location. The film is considered the first Iraqi feature to address the Second Gulf War and involved Iraqi actors alongside Iraqi military units. Approximately 50 actors and 200 military personnel participated in the production. It is believed that the film’s original title was The Longest Day in History before settling on its final name. The film was not permitted to be screened, similar to another Iraqi film, The Countdown. It was reportedly banned because it did not meet the approval of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

The tale of the legendary hero Antarah Ibn Shaddad, covering the events of his boyhood and how he grew to be a valiant fighter known for his horsemanship, a figure worthy of inspiring young boys to follow in his footsteps.

A love story unfolds between a girl and a young man in one of the coastal areas. They become involved in a physical relationship, resulting in her becoming pregnant. Tragically, her lover dies in an accident. Fearing disgrace, she attempts suicide, but is rescued by a kind-hearted fisherman who falls in love with her and cares for her in his small cottage. However, the girl dies after giving birth to their child, leaving the fisherman in shock.

Hamed is arrested after he starts working in the black market. When he is released, he tries to make amends, but his obsession with money and wealth throws a wrench in his plans, and he gets arrested again.

An Iranian attack occurs on the middle sector, prompting a team of Iraqi special forces to attempt to repel the assault. A tough confrontation unfolds until an Iraqi aircraft intervenes, bombing enemy barracks, and allowing some of the soldiers to survive the battle.

The film depicts the biography of King Ghazi, one of the kings of Iraq in the 1930s, who sought to break free from the bonds of British colonization and adopt a nationalist path. This led various parties to attempt his assassination, including the servant Sa'id, who is also disposed of after the assassination. The film also portrays aspects of life in Iraq during the 1930s.
