A blind man, haunted by his past, who pays a visit to the monastery of Poblet. The goal is to help a friend steal the relics hidden by some Slovenian monks. There, however, he is reunited with the woman who has always loved him.

Under threat of eviction, an old man hides himself inside his flat, ready for anything - except the cruel twist of fate that will force him to reassess his whole life.

In 1926 Vida, a simple, young Slovenian woman leaves fascist Italy due of poverty. She emigrates as a wet nurse to Alexandria in Egypt to support her family. Her poor peasant existences changes to a life in luxury.
