The film follows a basketball game of picturesque characters in a neon, rubber world. On the field there is also a bird with human feet which catches the eye of one of the players with its ballet moves.

Socialist Croatia, sometime during the mid-1980s. During a play at a local elementary school, one of the contestants notices that an audience member is acting very suspicously, which piques her curiosity.

A young woman begins to work on a dream journal after she realizes that all of her travels to the dreamscape (be they dreams or nightmares) are related to an old cemetary situated nearby her childhood home.
