The film tells the stories of five people with special abilities who treat and heal their patients in an unconventional way. These charismatic healers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are the subjects of this documentary which sets out to show how their old-school, arcane methods can serve as an addition to conventional, academic medicine.

In five different countries, the filmmakers explore the question of why so many development aid projects have been so unsuccessful to date and how the so-called Third World could free itself from the grip of the First World. By undertaking a long journey through several continents, this committed documentary film impressively shows many facets of the problem, which it links together, puts its finger on wounds and reveals some frightening mechanisms. He is not concerned with "images of hunger", but with the connections between poverty and (European) prosperity, with justice in a globalized world.

A documentary about everyday life in a Romanian high-security prison near Bucharest. Filmmaker Andrei Schwartz spent more than half a year accompanying and observing the lives of the prisoners. Up to 22 men share a cell in the hopelessly overcrowded Rahova prison on the outskirts of Bucharest. Schwartz focuses more closely on several individual fates and describes how the men try above all to get through each day unscathed. At the same time, the film shows how the prisoners try to preserve their humanity in an inhumane environment and cope with their bleak everyday lives with creativity, humor, and a spark of optimism.
