The film tells the story of the perseverance and steadfastness of Yoke Lin, a teenage girl waiting for her SPM examination results and aspiring to pursue her studies at university. While waiting for the results, Yoke Lin fills her free time by participating in the staging of a drama entitled 'Keris Pusaka' aimed at collecting donations to build a hostel for orphaned children of various races in her area. Yoke Lin's involvement in acting in the Malay drama, taking on the role of Anum, faces opposition from her father but receives support from Mr. Phang (who is open-minded), Sakinah, Aida, Mona and others. Yoke Lin, as a member of Malaysia's new generation, strives to make the drama production a success in order to strengthen unity among the multiracial residents of her village. Eventually, after overcoming various obstacles, her mother gives her encouragement, followed by a change in her father's attitude who now supports her theatrical arts activities.

Duan, a Mak Yong artist, migrates to Kuala Lumpur at the insistence of his parents after being involved in a fight in the village. He meets his friends from the village and works in various part-time jobs but his new life in the city does not prevent him from continuing to be active in the arts of Mak Yong that has been integrated in his soul. He clashes with a group of criminals when he tries to save a girl. She is kidnapped because of a past revenge that had caused the brother of a criminal leader to be sentenced to death for killing her boyfriend.

The story follows Duan, a traditional Kelantan Mak Yong artist and performer who possesses two distinct personalities. He is passionate about traditional art but is also quick to fight. His story begins after Duan gets into a fight with a Mak Yong audience member who disrupts his performance, leading his father to ask him to leave the village and find other work. His friend Awi, who lives in Kuala Lumpur, invites Duan to the capital city. Awi tells him that Kuala Lumpur offers greater opportunities in the arts field, including Mak Yong. Awi is an arts worker who seeks to bring Kelantan arts to a wider and more advanced level. Additionally, Duan's task is to help Nancy, the daughter of Jimmy Ang, a man of Chinese descent from Kelantan, which brings conflict into Duan's life.
