Two brothers, Sten and Jonas, own and live on a farm near Ätran in Falkenberg. Sten has just been released from prison but continues his shady business dealings, which now include a large stock of fine cognac. Jonas tries to put a stop to this but has to agree to play Sten's wife for a day in order to trick the person who is going to buy the smuggled alcohol. It turns out that Jonas has invited two summer guests to rent the chicken coop for a week, the young woman Anna and her father Göte . Jonas falls in love with Anna, and everything becomes even more confusing when the completely idiotic neighbor Ivar Rask understands everything in his own way. No, we won't let anyone die here. These are new times! Strindberg was bold. Bold—so are we! Cheers, Strindberg!
