In the sweltering heat of a Texas summer in 1974, Jim Estelle, head of the Texas Department of Corrections, plays a deadly game against the ruthless Federico Carrasco, a convicted heroin dealer who has taken over the Huntsville Penitentiary and holding dozens hostage after his pre-planned escape has gone awry. The Film focuses on a group of high school seniors grappling with the reality of moving away to college. As if senior year couldn't be stressful enough, there is also a serial killer on the loose.

The Landrys are blindsided by news of their son's behavior, and must rally to find their way amidst comical family dysfunction.
