Uprooted from the Ivory Coast and sent to live in Denmark as a child, professional boxing champion Landry “Hardkore” Kore tells the story of his eighteen-year journey from homelessness and family breakdown to international success in an elevated documentary. When Danish Director Meeto met the boxer a few years ago he knew that the conventional shaky cam athletic profile would do no justice to Kore’s philosophy, intelligence and—as the director describes—his “big heart”.

Movie

We meet Franka just before her literary debut with the novel Vulva Vulva Vap Vap. Outwardly, everything seems splendid, but beneath the surface, she is plagued by anxious impostor syndrome, which is why she publishes under a pseudonym. On this particular evening, as we encounter Franka in a bar, she suddenly finds herself in the company of the prominent culture critic Asger. The two embark on a whirlwind romance-starting with small talk and quickly escalating into infatuation. But in the midst of the intoxication, Franka discovers that Asger is set to review her novel, and the outlook is not promising. Manipulatively, she tries to steer Asger's assessment of the book without revealing that she is the author. This leads to a dramatic confrontation, and as the conflict intensifies, Franka's confident façade gradually crumbles, leaving her fully exposed to the turmoil of her emotions.
